Eventually I did put some percussion in and I think it was a good call, but at the same time I felt the piece really had the potential to be cranked up to eleven - so... here it is :) The idea of "high energy edits" was born when a friend of mine asked me to do a more streamlined, more "epic" version of my piece "Those who wandered Earth before us" that she could listen to during her workouts. It was about eight minutes long and consisted of both epic and softer, more emotional and lyrical parts. When I published it, a friend asked me if I could create a version with only the epic parts because she wanted to listen to them during her workouts. I did, and now I revisited that version to make some final tweaks and share it with y'all! Here are the most important changes: - I shortened the intro of the piece - I cut out the slower, more lyrical parts - I extended the part with big percussion and choir - I added a super fat (and intentionally unrealistic) low brass line to that part - I remastered the track, making it sound brighter and more punchy Want to check out the original version?
